Who We Are

Our Beginning:

Nestled in the foothills of the Rockies, in the small town of Lyons Colorado, we launched our mission: the Colorado Legal Insurance Help Fund. The organization was founded by two high school students, being Niko Sparks and Wilma Spencer, with one goal in mind: helping Coloradans have easily available access to the legal system in insurance disputes.

Founded in April of 2025, the Co-LIH Fund is still relatively new, but has attained full legal non profit status, including a 501(c)3 certification. Through meeting with many people, from attorneys to directors of other non profits in the area to a member of the Colorado State Legislature, we have insured lots of knowledge, as well as constantly continuing to seek more.

Board Chair, Executive Coordinator

Provides leadership across service management, fundraising, and executive oversight. Point of contact for attorneys and clients alike. Currently serving as a Legal Assistant for the Lyons Gaddis.

Wilma Spencer

Board Vice Chair, Treasurer

Assists with donations, connections, and helps handle finances and balances accounts. Experienced in educational curriculum design.

Vince Sparks

Board Member, Outreach Specialist

Coordinates client and partnership outreach with aims of sourcing & building lasting partnerships. Established in policy advocacy and educational research.

Kathy Glover

Advisor, Board Member

Assists with crafting and advancing the mission of the nonprofit; former executive director of a YMCA branch for 16 years.
